Hi all, I have an old Creative SB AWE32 (CT3900) and apparently I have some problems getting it to work. I can load the soundcard-module (snd-sbawe) shipped with knoppix 3.4 (kernel 2.6.6) by the following command line: modprobe snd-sbawe port=0x220 irq=5 dma8=1 dma16=5 isapnp=0 However my vanilla-kernel 2.6.12.2 refuses to load the module pretending that no device is existent: FATAL: Error inserting snd_sbawe (/lib/modules/2.6.12.2/kernel/sound/isa/sb/snd-sbawe.ko): No such device FATAL: Error running install command for snd_sbawe I tried the same command to with a self-compiled vanilla 2.6.6 but again I had no luck. I am running a Debian Sarge, the mainboard is an asus P3B-F. Needless to say that I could not find any answers by googling. Is there a trick a have to do? -- Thanks for your attention, Leo. |
