talking about the SB0310 card,
- should speaker-test program work also from SPDIF plug to rca/optical
too, or only analog?
- Which switches, if any, can I use in speaker-test for SPDIF output?
- Does SPDIF work at all on this card? For mine not...neither rca, nor opti=
cal.=20
- Can I play dts, connecting the audio system via number 1 plug on sb
card (the one at opposite side in respect of midi port)? On manual it
tells that this plug is for:

Analog/Digital Out jack:  Connects to external digital devices or
digital speaker systems for 6-channel or compressed AC-3 SPDIF output.
Also connects to 5.1 analog speaker systems for Center and Subwoofer
(LFE) analog channels.

Can you confirm that I can play all digital contents I want from this
plug, and then that in my case connecting to spdif give absolutely no
added value?

alsa-driver 1.0.9rc2 (that comes with that kernel)
