Hello, is someone around having experiences which spdif-out on ALC650F-chips? Here is the output of $cat /proc/asound/card0/codec97#0/ac97#0-0 > 0-0/0: Realtek ALC650F > > Capabilities : > DAC resolution : 20-bit > ADC resolution : 18-bit > 3D enhancement : Realtek 3D Stereo Enhancement > > Current setup > Mic gain : +0dB [+0dB] > POP path : pre 3D > Sim. stereo : off > 3D enhancement : off > Loudness : off > Mono output : MIX > Mic select : Mic1 > ADC/DAC loopback : off > Double rate slots: 10/11 > Extended ID : codec=0 rev=1 LDAC SDAC CDAC DSA=0 SPDIF DRA VRA > Extended status : LDAC SDAC CDAC SPDIF=10/11 SPDIF VRA > PCM front DAC : 44100Hz > PCM Surr DAC : 44100Hz > PCM LFE DAC : 44100Hz > PCM ADC : 48000Hz > SPDIF Control : Consumer PCM Category=0x2 Generation=1 Rate=44.1kHz > SPDIF In Status : Not Locked and here the output of $aplay -l > **** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices **** > card 0: ICH5 [Intel ICH5], device 0: Intel ICH [Intel ICH5] > Subdevices: 1/1 > Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 > card 0: ICH5 [Intel ICH5], device 4: Intel ICH - IEC958 [Intel ICH5 - > IEC958] > Subdevices: 1/1 > Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 So I thought the following /etc/asound.conf would be ok (just the important parts): > pcm.!default { > type plug > slave.pcm "digital-hw" > } > ... > pcm.digital-hw { > type hw > card 0 > device 4 > } > ... > pcm.dmix-analog { > type dmix > ipc_key 1234 > slave { > pcm "analog-hw" > period_time 0 > period_size 1024 > buffer_size 4096 > rate 44100 > } > } So I think there should be something wrong with buffer sizes or else, but I don't get any bit forward. Output via analog-jack works like a charm, just the spdif - coax as well as optical - stay quiet (besides: IEC958 is acitvated in alsamixer). I would really appreciate if someone would lend me a hand on this. I already spend the evenings of the last three weeks on that and it's driving me mad. Cheers, Dirk. |
