[Alsa-user] Sis 7012 only 4 of 6 channels working

Hello,

I have installed a stock 2.6.8.1 kernel with alsa drivers.
Using a dvd, I can hear sound, but only on 4 of 6 channels (left, right,
center and subwoofer) but not on the two rear channels. I verified that
the respective scene does use all channels.

Is there something in my .asoundrc file that I need to set in order to
activate those settings or do i need to somehow activate the other
output?

please let me know if I can provide any more meaningful information. I
am quite new to alsa and don't yet know what to provide.
