Hi, =20 I am using a Debian Distro (Sarge) that is using Kernel 2.4.25. =20 =20 I am trying to install the latest version of the ALSA (driver version 1.0.5a) and after configuring for my VIA chipset, peforming make and make install none of the ALSA drivers seemed to have been installed into my /dev directory. I do find that the *.o library files have been compiled (if that makes any difference). I have also tried to install the library, utility and oss sections. Still none of the areas install the needed drivers in the /dev section. =20 What this means of course is that modprobe fails to find the deivces. =20 Anyone have any ideas? =20 Regards =20 Joshua Brickel =20 =20 |
