I haven't seen the message about the kernel flag before. Have you recompiled your kernel and kept the old one? I have a message about a symlink written earlier you can take a look at. But I don't know if it to any help. Thanks for your response. I have just fixed the problem. The problem was the specification of the card "--with-cards=intel8x0" it seems that when specifying the card some dependcies are not handle in the compilation process. Cheers. Dominic.
