So, you have to specify 32-bit 10 channel interleaved at all times if you want to MMAP. I'm going to look into having an .asoundrc that would do this for the plug level(if this is possible). Just curious, where would be the best place to learn about the specifics and requirements of sound cards? Would it be best to look at the driver source in the alsa-driver?
