I'm running Debian Woody r1 and got alsa 0.91 and my nvidia drivers working after I did a kernel compilation (ask if me you need any help with that). I had to do some hacking about with a few files here and there to get alsa working in the end too, giz a shout if you need help with that, 'cos it takes a bit of lateral thinking. Have you run make after a previous compilation attempt, or use of ./configure? Anyway, there's a bit of stuffing about here which you should be able to avoid. Firstly, run the following command (which is helpful for more than just alsa): ln -s /usr/src/kernel-source-2.4.16 /usr/src/linux That gets rid of the need for the --with-kernel= option. I'd keep the --with-sequencer=yes, but is the rest really necessary after that? Have a go at ./configure --with-sequencer-yes and then make install first, then try the extra options later. Cheers mate! --- Mike Miller <mil...@op...> wrote: > I downloaded alsa-driver .9.4, the lib, and utils > too.
