Been using a Terratec EWX 24/96 for half a year now .. upgrade to 0.9.1 and then 0.9.2 of alsa first seemed like a good idea since i got more controls in envy24control and the card seemed to handle better the disappearance of spdif-in when sampling rate was set to spdif-in... then I got into a lot of problems with ecasound not working correctly with alsa any more, but this is another issue and Kai has fixed it for now in ecasound-cvs what I just realized, though, and which is a _big_ bummer for me: all of a sudden I can't record the stuff I play on the computer to the MD-Recorder any more .. no matter which setting I use in envy24control (consumer, copy permitted, original, no emphasis, cd (ice-908) seemed like a logical choice to me), the MD-Recorder always shows "No Copy" in the Display, which is his way of telling me to go fuck myself 'cos Sony has this shitty DRM-stuff .. anyway, how do I stop this nonsense and get my normal behaviour back, i.e. being able to record on MD? (note: this was while trying to record a file I had recorded from the radio .. i.e. legal) -- Michael Hellwig aka The Eye olymp.idle.at admin check out http://homepage.uibk.ac.at/~csaa5128 for gpg public key and don't hesitate to look at http://laerm.or.at |
