Hello, i have a problem with my fm801 sound card. First of all everythig works right but: My problem is that i cannot use the ut2003_demo and teamspeak at the same time.I heard that this sould be possible with a multichannel capable soundcard. As far as i know my Terratec soundcard should be capable of that. I havent found a way to put it into multichannel mode. The soundcard has the following data. soundchip Fortemedia FM801-AU (it is written on the chip) cat /proc/pci Bus 0, device 13, function 0: Multimedia audio controller: Fortemedia, Inc Xwave QS3000A [FM801] (rev 178). IRQ 3. Master Capable. Latency=3D64. Min Gnt=3D4.Max Lat=3D40. I/O at 0x1080 [0x10ff]. Bus 0, device 13, function 1: Input device controller: Fortemedia, Inc Xwave QS3000A [FM801 game port] (rev 178). Master Capable. Latency=3D64. Min Gnt=3D4.Max Lat=3D40. I/O at 0x1410 [0x141f]. according to the file alsa-driver-0.9.0rc3/alsa-kernel/pci/fm801.c lines 933-935 even the revision should fit. pci_read_config_byte(pci, PCI_REVISION_ID, &rev); if (rev >=3D 0xb1) /* FM801-AU */ chip->multichannel =3D 1; i am using gentoo linux 1.2 kernel 2.4.19 from kernel.org ls -al /dev/snd drwxr-xr-x 1 root root 0 Jan 1 1970 . drwxr-xr-x 1 root root 0 Jan 1 1970 .. crw------- 1 main audio 116, 0 Jan 1 1970 controlC0 crw------- 1 main audio 116, 32 Jan 1 1970 controlC1 crw------- 1 main audio 116, 64 Jan 1 1970 controlC2 crw------- 1 main audio 116, 96 Jan 1 1970 controlC3 crw------- 1 main audio 116, 128 Jan 1 1970 controlC4 crw------- 1 main audio 116, 160 Jan 1 1970 controlC5 crw------- 1 main audio 116, 192 Jan 1 1970 controlC6 crw------- 1 main audio 116, 224 Jan 1 1970 controlC7 crw------- 1 main audio 116, 4 Jan 1 1970 hwC0D0 crw------- 1 main audio 116, 8 Jan 1 1970 midiC0D0 crw------- 1 main audio 116, 24 Jan 1 1970 pcmC0D0c crw------- 1 main audio 116, 16 Jan 1 1970 pcmC0D0p crw------- 1 main audio 116, 1 Jan 1 1970 seq crw------- 1 main audio 116, 33 Jan 1 1970 timer ls -al /dev/dsp* lr-xr-xr-x 1 root root 9 Sep 28 12:41 /dev/dsp -> /dev/dsp0 crw------- 1 main audio 14, 3 Sep 28 12:41 /dev/dsp0 crw------- 1 main audio 14, 19 Sep 28 12:41 /dev/dsp1 crw------- 1 main audio 14, 35 Sep 28 12:41 /dev/dsp2 crw------- 1 main audio 14, 51 Sep 28 12:41 /dev/dsp3 ls -al /proc/asound/card0/ dr-xr-xr-x 4 root root 0 Sep 28 17:53 . dr-xr-xr-x 6 root root 0 Sep 28 17:53 .. -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 0 Sep 28 17:53 ac97#0 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 0 Sep 28 17:53 ac97#0regs -r--r--r-- 1 root root 0 Sep 28 17:53 id -r--r--r-- 1 root root 0 Sep 28 17:53 midi0 dr-xr-xr-x 3 root root 0 Sep 28 17:53 pcm0c dr-xr-xr-x 3 root root 0 Sep 28 17:53 pcm0p What do i miss ?
