Hi David, attached a new version of tex.el. > What did you do w.r.t. the issues pointed out in my last e-mail? > > Like, from the code: > >> (mode-io-correlate " -sourceposition \"%n %b\" -editor \" \\\"/applications/aquamacs emacs.app/contents/macos/bin/emacsclient\\\" --no-wait\"") >> > > How do we know Aquamacs is in /Applications? > Also, it's Aquamacs.app from 2.x on. I have changed the above lines back to the original auctex version: (mode-io-correlate " -sourceposition \"%n %b\" -editor \"%cS\"") and in the following function (defun TeX-source-specials-view-expand-client () "Return gnuclient or emacslient executable with options. Return the full path to the executable if possible." (let* ((gnuserv-p (TeX-source-correlate-gnuserv-p)) (client-base (if gnuserv-p "gnuclient" "emacsclient")) (client-full (and invocation-directory (expand-file-name client-base invocation-directory))) (options (if gnuserv-p TeX-source-specials-view-gnuclient-flags TeX-source-specials-view-emacsclient-flags))) (if (and client-full (file-executable-p client-full)) (concat client-full " " options) (concat client-base " " options)))) I have changed the last line into (concat aquamacs-mac-application-bundle-directory"/Contents/MacOS/bin/"client-base " " options)))) This does the job provided that none of the directories in aquamacs-mac-application-bundle-directory has a space in its name, i.e. none is like "Neuer Ordner" Apparently, if such spaces in directory names occur, we must give xdvi the path to and including emacsclient in quotation marks. I tried this (concat "\\\""aquamacs-mac-application-bundle-directory"/Contents/MacOS/bin/"client-base"\\\"" " " options)))) but it didn't work. Do you have any idea?
