Hi Bernard, noticing that alpha::restartAlpha no longer works, I discover the reason is that exec ps -x | grep "$::APPLICATION" | grep -v grep returns 20060 ?? S 0:00.10 /Volumes/Home/kock/Applications/8.2b3/AlphaX.app/Contents/Resources/Scripts/AlphaTcl/Tools/DiffBOA.app/Contents/MacOS/DiffBOA -psn_0_4535379 21937 ?? U 0:05.63 /Volumes/Home/kock/Applications/8.2b3/AlphaX.app/Contents/MacOS/AlphaX -psn_0_4916400 In fact DiffBOA keeps running after Alpha has quit. I don't know how this could have happened. It doesn't happen all the time. In fact it is likely it only happened once, but that the same spurious DiffBOA process was responsible for the trouble in all my experiments. Once I killed it manually, everything worked fine, and the spurious process has not shown up again... But I thought I would let you know anyway. Cheers, Joachim. |
