I am new to allegro and linux, so I apologize if the answer is very obvious. I downloaded and installed allegro 4.0.3 .tar files according to the instructions in /docs/build/unix.txt and everything seemed to go okay. I wrote a simple program to test by reporting the allegro library version, but when I compile, I get a "/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -l-L/usr/local/lib collect2: ld returned 1 exit status" error. I am not sure why it is adding the "-l" to the "-L/usr/local/lib" option. Did I miss something during installation? Any help would be appreciated. |
