Under Allegro 3.925 for Windows in MSVC, which bitmaps should be acquired manually for best performance? Just the screen? Just the one(s) I'm blitting to? Or every bitmap I'm working with at the moment? I don't know what happens if you try acquiring regular bitmaps (in system memory) though. If you are using a double buffer, then just the screen needs to be acquired. Else it'll be when you want to access a video bitmap (created with the create_video_bitmap function, IIRC). * James Johnson -- http://snap.to/fusion "The best way to accelerate an iMac is at 9.8m/sec/sec." - Marcus Dolengo > -----Original Message----- > From: all...@ca... > [mailto:all...@ca...]On Behalf Of Damian Yerrick > Sent: Friday, October 29, 1999 8:48 PM > To: al...@ca... > Subject: [AL] acquire_bitmap() > > > Under Allegro 3.925 for Windows in MSVC, which bitmaps > should be acquired manually for best performance? > Just the screen?
