Hello Nir! Cool that you want to take part in the development. Man power is always=20 welcome (and needed) :-) Do you already have experience with Qt (or even KDE) development? A first step could be to browse akregator's bugs on bugs.kde.org and fix so= me=20 of them. Many of them need KDE knowledge though, and are maybe not that eas= y=20 to fix without it. Bug fixing has priority at the moment, since we are part= =20 of KDE PIM now and are in "feature list freeze" for KDE PIM 3.4. That means= =20 only features listed on the feature list=20 (http://developer.kde.org/development-versions/kde-3.4-features.html) shoul= d=20 be implemented. Features should be done mainly at the beginning of january,= =20 which is quite near ;-) =46or the complete release schedule see http://developer.kde.org/development-versions/kde-3.4-release-plan.html I think we should really concentrate on bug fixing instead of hacking new=20 features in and introduce even more bugs ;-) Tell us if you found something you want to do, so we can coordinate and avo= id=20 doing the same work. We mostly discuss development in the #akregator IRC=20 channel on irc.kde.org, so I invite you to join us there. Hoping for a flood of patches ;-) =46rank On Monday 20 December 2004 11:01, Nir Dremer wrote: > hey! > > i would like to assist to akregator development. > > I'm a C++/C Linux application developer (for the past 3 years). > > Where to start? > > > Cheers, > Nir Dremer > -------------------------------------------------------------------------= =2D- >------------- "Real leaders are ordinary people with extraordinary > determinations." -- John Seaman Garns |
