Hi Ben Here's the ll output. as you can probably see, this is 2.4.18-4. its from the updates at RedHat: rpm info follows. from make xconfig, the I think that the device name appears under both "Network device support" -> "Wireless LAN (non-hamradio)" as "Cisco/Aironet 34X/35X/4500/4800 ISA and PCI cards" and "Cisco/Aironet 34X/35X/4500/4800 PCMCIA cards". These descriptions imply that these are different devices, but the documentation for the drivers says that airo.c works for either pci or pc card and that you need airo_cs.c too to support the pcmcia card. The version in wireless has your email (I assume that it's yours) as br...@us..., the pcmcia one as br...@al... --cut here-- [tim@workstar wireless]$ ll /usr/src/linux-2.4.18-4/drivers/net/pcmcia/airo.c -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 118547 May 2 22:36 /usr/src/linux-2.4.18-4/drivers/net/pcmcia/airo.c [tim@workstar wireless]$ ll /usr/src/linux-2.4.18-4/drivers/net/wireless/airo.c -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 129098 Feb 25 19:38 /usr/src/linux-2.4.18-4/drivers/net/wireless/airo.c [tim@workstar wireless]$ rpm -qi kernel Name : kernel Relocations: (not relocateable) Version : 2.4.18 Vendor: Red Hat, Inc.
