Hi all, I have the same kind of trouble that Dave Cramer posted about earlier today, except that I have 340 cards without WEP. The card is set up to run adhoc and I've got ssid set. Server (PCI 340) is linux, client is a laptop with pcmcia 340. I can't ping between the two machines, but the status led is lit, and the activity led blinks really fast. The Link Status Meter is active, the ACU status and linktest returns results like the system should be working flawlessly. Unfortunately, I messed around with a 352 card before installing the 340 again, so I wonder if I've screwed up some settings, and that my laptop thinks it's got a wep key of some sort? When I ping the laptop ip from the laptop, it responds. Pinging the aironet "base" server gives a "Destination port unavailable". The arp output on the server seems perfectly ok, with the address of the laptop on ether, correct mac address, flag C and Iface eth2. I also have a 100Mbit nic in the laptop, and perhaps a default GW thing may crash between the two nics? Any ideas? Thanks in advance! Best regards, Ørjan Sandland Senior Consultant Net Technology AS |
