When compiling the driver you must make sure your kernel source is configured correctly and your PCMCIA source is configured correctly. The easiest way to do this is to do a build of the kernel and the PCMCIA before building the aironet driver. If you know what you are doing, you can get there without building everything, but in your case, I would suggest building everything first. ben Brian Harring <har...@be...>@csl.cse.ucsc.edu on 04/07/2000 09:11:10 AM Sent by: air...@cs... To: ai...@en... cc: Subject: [Aironet] error's compiling aironet driver into a module Hey all, first of all I'm fairly new to linux so I'm prob missing someting simple but here goes; I downloaded and untarred the airo drivers into the pcmcia-cs-3.1.13 directory and then checked over the config file and checked everything through as good as I could; then I tried making the module with make -f airo_cs.mk install; first time I ran it it crapped out with a [install] error 1, [install] error 2... noticed a line complaining about not finding the config.mk in the wireless directory so I cp'd one in the pcmcia directory there... then ran the make command again... this time virtually everthing in it turned up wrong...every 4 to 5 lines had an error... so just judging by the errors that it returned I'm guessing I did something rather wrong... any help would be appreciated... thanx Brian Harring _______________________________________________ Aironet mailing list - Ai...@cs... http://csl.cse.ucsc.edu/mailman/listinfo/aironet |
