I believe that was true. I rebuilt the kernel with some things out of it and now the driver builds just fine and works with essid_jack an other tools. I still can't get airjack to build...I think I have my kernel source tree all screwed up. I really probably should start over but most things work just great and I'd hate to screw it up. I ought to get airjack working on my ipaq...then I could rebuild/fix my laptop. -----Original Message----- From: Abaddon [mailto:ab...@80...] Sent: Monday, November 03, 2003 6:47 AM To: Jerry Shenk Cc: 'Joshua Wright'; 'airjack-users' Subject: RE: [Airjack-users] Airjack error - Operation not permitted as best I can tell this is some redhat kernel thing, if you're not running redhat please let me know what you're running...can you let me know the kernel you're using including any redhat subversions...thanks... --Abaddon On Tue, 2003-10-28 at 08:38, Jerry Shenk wrote: > Here's the last couple lines of dmesg: > airjack_cs: Initialization complete. > aj0: index 0x01: Vcc 5.0, Vpp 5.0, irq 5, io 0x0140-0x017f > eth0: flipped to 10baseT > eth0: flipped to 10baseT > > And here's the response from id: > uid=0(root) gid=0(root) > groups=0(root),1(bin),2(daemon),3(sys),4(adm),6(disk),10(wheel) > > And here's the exact error when I run essid_jack: > ]# ./essid_jack -b 00:04:96:50:27:67 -c 1 -i aj0 > get_socket: Operation not permitted > > -----Original Message----- > From: Joshua Wright [mailto:Jos...@jw...] > Sent: Tuesday, October 28, 2003 7:53 AM > To: Jerry Shenk; airjack-users > Subject: RE: [Airjack-users] Airjack error - Operation not permitted > > > Jerry, > > > I've been working on getting AirJack working today.
