It seems that a read from "state" is needed after a write before any subsequent writes are recognized. BTW, also on my machine (Gericom 1st Supersonic M6-T) all trip points except "critical (S5)" are gone in 2.4.18+apci20020611, without any related ACPI error messages during the boot process. (I have reported these findings to Andrew Grover on 2002-06-13.) Arndt |
