Hi, I resend because I had sending problems > > There is one annoying for me thing, which seems to be > connected with > > kernels 2.4.4 and higher. But I need to know, what to do... > Please try the latest patch at: > http://developer.intel.com/technology/iapc/acpi/downloads.htm > Compile with all ACPI options enabled and send me your dmesg Well, I had only 2.4.14 (not 2.4.16, like is listed on this www). I compiled it without problems and IT WORKS NOW (I had few problems connected with hanging probably connected with Xwindows problems, but kernel disables PC and is OK now) ! So, I hope, it will be included in new releases. > output. I apologize for any trouble you are having - poweroff > has been a problem for some for a long time, it's just that > it's been hard to fix it definitively because it works on our > machines...:-( It's OK. Put it into main kernel tree and it will be OK. > Also, please use the new acpi mailing list address at > acp...@li.... Well, in kernel docs it's old email. But of course OK - I send answer to new email. Thank you for help. One suggestion: maybe in the future it will be possible to put such option into kernel, that after pressing Power button it will make shutdown or do nothing (ignore it) ?
