The Software Testing Automation Framework (STAF) is a framework designed to improve the level of reuse and automation in test cases and test environments. The goal of STAF is to provide a complete end-to-end automation solution for testers.

Grassroots DiCoM is a C++ library for DICOM medical files. It is accessible from Python, C#, Java and PHP. It supports RAW, JPEG, JPEG 2000, JPEG-LS, RLE and deflated transfer syntax. It comes with a super fast scanner implementation to quickly scan hundreds of DICOM files. It supports SCU network operations (C-ECHO, C-FIND, C-STORE, C-MOVE). PS 3.3 & 3.6 are distributed as XML files. It also provides PS 3.15 certificates and password based mecanism to anonymize and de-identify DICOM datasets.

Arianne is a multiplayer online engine to develop turn based and real time games, providing a simple way of creating the game server rules and clients like our MORPG Stendhal. Our engine Marauroa uses Java and SQL for hosting hundreds of players on a solo host. Stendhal is a fun friendly and free multiplayer online adventure game with a huge and rich world. With hundreds of NPCs and different quests, features like the Travel log and achievement system keep track of progress. Thousands of creatures are ready to fight, above and below ground, and as players level up they can compare themselves on a detailed stats website. The engine Marauroa provides a simple way of creating games on a portable and robust server architecture. Marauroa manages the client server communication and provides an object orientated view of the world for game developers. It handles database access in a transparent way to store player accounts, character progress and the state of the world

SIGAR (System Information Gatherer and Reporter) is a cross-platform, cross-language library and command-line tool for accessing operating system and hardware level information in Java, Perl and .NET.

Firmata is a generic protocol for communicating with microcontrollers from software on a host computer. It is intended to work with any host computer software package. There are implementations for multiple microcontrollers and host software packages.

Crystal Space is an Open Source 3D SDK for Unix, Windows, and MacOS/X. It renders with OpenGL and features GLSL shaders, CG shaders, deferred rendering, dynamic shadows, bullet based physics library, terrain engine, skeleton based animation meshes, exporter for Blender, portals, etc...

The purpose of the project is to develop a portable programming framework that facilitates distributed and multi-threaded programming for C++, Java, and Python. MADARA was originally developed as an agent-based middleware specifically for real-time, distributed artificial intelligence, but is now more general purpose for distributed timing, control, knowledge and reasoning, and quality-of-service. MADARA is composed of several tools and middleware, and the main entry point into the system is the Knowledge and Reasoning Language (KaRL) Engine, which provides a real-time scripting language for nanosecond execution times hooked into a flexible transport layer for distributed reasoning. The KaRL engine also supports object-oriented C++, Java, and Python programming through Containers, classes that provide abstractions and references for variable location within the KaRL Knowledge Base. This project is currently in process of being ported from http://madara.googlecode.com.

scriptHelper is a Java library allowing a simple integration between Java code and various script languages. This library also allows to debug these scripts in the context of a Java program.

The GUIDOLib provides a powerful engine for the graphic rendering of music scores, based on the Guido Music Notation format. It supports Linux, Mac OS X, Windows, Android and iOS operating systems. A Java JNI interface is available as well as a Javascript version of the library. A Web API has also been designed, allowing to deploy the engine as a Web service.

An Excel addin and server framework for implementing remote excel user-defined functions (UDFs). This framework is designed to provide a centralised warehouse of functions for Excel users (eg. within an organisation).

GEPETTO (GEne PrioriTization ExTended TOol) is an original open-source framework, distributed under the LGPL license, for gene selection and prioritization on a desktop computer that ensures confidentiality of personal data. It takes advantage of the data integration capabilities in the SM2PH-Central Framework(KD4v,MSV3d,BIRD,..), combined with in-house developed gene prioritization methods. It currently incorporates six prioritization modules, based on gene sequence, protein-protein interactions, gene expression, disease-causing probabilities, genomic context). GEPETTO is written in Java/Python and supported by an advanced modular architecture, which means that it can easily be modified and extended by the user, in order to include alternative scoring methods and new data sources. Photon provides very fast access to data containers (queues, maps, etc.) in shared memory - it can retrieve millions of data records per second. It also uses some RDB concepts like transactions and crash recovery. See web site for details.

ACDK - Artefaktur Component Development Kit - is a platform independent C++-framework similar to Java or C#/.NET for generating distributed and scriptable components and applications.

Clairv is a Java framework based on Apache Lucene that adds search capability to your applications. Distributed indices over different machines are supported. A web front end will also be provided.

The co-simulation adapation platform serves as programming framework and middleware to enable coupling of distributed, heterogeneous numerical models. The framework facilitates the adaptation and integration of new sub-models into a common simulation platform.

Fressia Project is an effort to develop an Open Source general framework for Testing Automation. It's intended for users (testers) that want a simple tool which can be used just out of the box. It's does not requires any complicated configuration stuff
