Description
try searching for anything with more than 1 keyword and you will see what I mean. it frustrates users to no end.
search results are so useless I can't get anything that resembles ANDed results. I think it uses OR. this is a BIG mistake. it makes this the age of the human filter. in fact, the search box for sf.net's main page where you search for software has the same problem, but at least on that you can specify the AND keyword (you shouldn't have to).
yahoo learned long ago that search engines based on ORing keywords are something people don't like and give huge amounts of bogus results, so they switched to AND. google started by ANDing keywords right off - that's how yahoo learned. I hope sf.net learns too.
please fix the search engines EVERYWHERE in sf.net.
the forums, discussions, the main page, anywhere there is a search box that can take keywords. thanks. I submitted a bug report about this once before I think, but nothing was done.
thanks. I think a lot of people will breathe a sigh of relief and smile if you implement this.
SAVES MONEY: it will also reduce your bandwidth by a HUGE amount possibly and save lots of bandwidth costs!
