Mailing list moderator password retrieval

Reported by: rspencer1 Owned by:

Description

Hi,

I have taken over the administration of the DROID sourceforge (http://sourceforge.net/projects/droid/) project after the previous admin left.

We are having trouble retrieving the mailing list moderator password and cannot contact the original admin to get hold of it. Is there a process we can go through to retireve it?

We have ownership of the original mailbox, PRONOM@…, in fact I belong to the same department. Can it be arranged for the password to be sent to PRONOM@…, or reset through that account so that we can access and maintain the mailboxes again?

Regards,

Ross Spencer

Hi Ross,

This is fairly easily set by a project admin. Go to the project summary page (https://sourceforge.net/projects/<project_UNIX_name>) page and navigate:

Project Admin > Feature Settings > Mailing Lists

In the row for Mailing Lists, click on the Manage link in the Options column. On the subsequent page, click on the Change Password link near the top.
