I should mention that ZFYoung's 2.2.x version of Dream has an issue where you can't change the input. You have to change the input in the dream.ini file. You can also do this by changing settings in a Dream 2.1 and taking a copy of the resulting dream.ini file in the program directory for version 2.1 and moving it over to your Dream 2.2.x program directory, replacing the dream.ini file for Dream 2.2.x.

So I have found a solution! https://www.drmrx.org/forum/forum/drm-reception-project/general-topics/1580-how-often-does-dream-start-to-crash-when-decoding-xhe-aac/ This fork of Dream "2.2.x" by ZFYoung is stable, but not compiled for Windows 7, but Windows 8.1. However, I have been using Vxkex extensions on windows 7 and it WORKS!!! Way back, I had installed Vxkex Extensions - https://github.com/i486/VxKex To run Dream 2.2.x, I installed npcap. https://nmap.org/npcap/ Next, I installed "vc_redist...

If you have a computer lying around with hard drive space - in which you don't mind installing a new Ubuntu distribution along with the bootloader that it comes with, (I had a porteus box which would not compile anything. It was cool back in the day when all the repos were working, but not anymore), what you want to do is download and install Andy's SDR Linux distribution. It recognizes my RTL-SDR from the get-go. You will need a fast internet connection for this, and for doing the Dream build on...

The only DRM station I can get here is 7345 Radio Marti. Only 10 db SNR and I get decoded audio. I'm using a 250' long wire antenna in the trees.

I had errors with missing Windows library 'mincore' when I tried to compile it (on my Windows 7 box with QT5 and mingw). I found this discussion: https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/content/problem/366730/error-in-dlls-referenced-by-mincorelib.html So I changed the linker to '-lversion' instead of '-lmincore' and got past it, but still didn't compile all the way. I'm stuck on the speex stuff. I compiled fdk-aac, fftw3, etc. everything (so I thought) but I'm tired again and I'm going to quit...

I found out that the -lmincore Windows library link is only for Windows 10, and causes the missing "api-ms-win-core......dll" stuff. I changed it to -lversion. https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/content/problem/366730/error-in-dlls-referenced-by-mincorelib.html I managed to build a little further than that, but now I am stuck on the speex stuff. I got speex and speexdsp to compile fine in cygwin, but I included my headers and object files in dream over in QT, and I'm stuck at "cannot find...

After 5-10 seconds tuned to Radio Marti, 7345, I'm getting segmentation fault and Dream closes. This on Ubuntu 18.04.4 with pulseaudio. I tried dream -I pulse -O pulse.
