Yes, I plan to do just that; I just didn't know what format to convert to. However, the problem is still that DVDStyler terminates abruptly rather than closing down gracefully and giving a more meaningful error message rather than the abrupt 'Failed'. After a cache clearance and a re-code, the same error happened. See the requested files attached : Dvdstyler.log Fireball XL5.dvd There are many of the MP4 files that failed transcoding. That is not the Issue. The issue is that the code just drops out with 'Failed'; it should close down gracefully with some hint at the problem don't you think? Also, I have double checked a couple of the failed files. I don't understand bit-rates and the encoding problems, but they do play properly in media player....

Thanks for the details. I had figured a lot of that out. I did try running the session without re-transcoding as the files seemed to be ok in the temp directory. New to DVDStyler - previously used Nero. I have 36 MP4 files which I am trying to add to a DVD with 8 (auto generated) menus. I have tried 3 times; First time, the transcoding took a number of hours then stopped with the error 'Failed'. The second time, the transcoding pass would not start due to insufficient space in the temp folder (There was only 7GB - surely that would be enough for a 4.7GB image? Perhaps it needs 4.7 for the temporary files and another 4.7 for the final ISO?). Anyway, on the...
