I have a mail server. When i used https://sample.com:10000, the "Connection error" problem is appeared. When i used https://mail.sample.com:10000, the problem is not appeared. The hostname in this sample is mail.sample.com. I cant reproduce this, because the error is gone. (1.870 - Authentic Theme 19.04)

I had a similar problem. I upgraded to latest developer versions, but it not solved. the possible solution: you need to use the hostname in the url. Different url make this problem. (sorry for my bad engllish). I hope this post is useful...
