Thanks for bringing up Snap. In the Snapstore DocFetcher has not been granted the necessary permissions to access external drives for read and write privileges. I completely overlooked that setting. Now it is indexing the files as usual. Cheers
When trying to set a folder (right+clicking in Search Scope like on Windows), it doesn't allow any folders except non-hidden folders in Home. It says "Couldn't read the contents... - Permission denied." All drives I want to access are CHMOD-ed for reading and writing. Java is installed. Ubuntu 20.04 Thank you, Quang
I am running Linux and Windows on a dual boot laptop. I cannot afford to copy all my PDF's to both partitions so I need to access files on the NTFS Windows partition, but while I am mounted and can access with other programs, like Zotero, I cannot seem to start indexing files neither on the NTFS drive of Windows, nor on an external hard drive (also NTFS) (which is even more surprising). Any idea how I should proceed? Cheers, Zan
