In the exactly the same system, using X11 doesn't have the issue. Additionally, edit boxes in other places appear to be working, such the game editor after pressing "Ctrl-S".

My testing system is Debian. As you see, it didn't work. I've attached the log file... I don't think it's the proxy issue, since I've disabled proxy in NetBeans completely...

Ah, sorry, now I realize what went wrong -- I need to install jvi after installing the update center. However, click on "check on newest" always shows "Unable to connect to the jVi (vi/vim) for NetBeans 7.0 because of Received fatal alert: handshake_failure"

Yes, I looked into the log file, and the original post is pretty much everything related to jvi. The version number there is 1.2. I installed jvi through the plugin manager in NetBeans.
