I remember time when I was converting big FLAC files. My computer was noisy if used FFMPEG, if I used flacCL, it was quiet and coverted 56 times faster than FFMPEG. openCL doesn't give much performance over CPU, but it will give huge CPU unloading when compressing big data. I hope it will be implemented one day.

I can't reproduce it with g++ (tdm64-1) 9.2.0

Possibly, because the project is abandoned. More precise, no one is doing it full-time, no one is paid to do that, no one is responsible to do that. It's the beauty of opensource. That is why I had to choose MSVC.
