Thanks lphilpot, Acl is there, see attachment. What I will do next is installing Areca in /usr/local. Now it is installed in /home/wim/Data/Dropbox/Areca/bin. I let you know the results. Maybe running form Dropbox the Path is not right althoug I ran Areca in the past from an USB-stick (??) Regards, wimduk

Computer: MSI, 32 bit Linux version: Linux Mint 17.1 Rebecca, Mate 32 bit Areca Version: 7.5 (August 26, 2015, 32 bit version) Issue: Areca does not start a backup.
