Permission denied - Whonix permissions access issue when trying to mount container as a standard whonix user account

Hi, having some issues in accessing veracrypt as part of a whonix installation. Whonix uses a secure sysmaint user split from the standard user for security purposes. A standard user does not have sudo permissions again for security purposes. Installation of the veracrypt has been done on the sysmaint user side and makes the application available to all other users.
