I've tried an another version of Binkw32.dll. to be precise, the 1.8w version. Also using this version, all issues quoted in defiance and in SR2 with DxWnd disappear.

I have tried all three tricks. But nothing again... using the default version included in the game + DxWnd, it's still played slow and/or choppy. Instead by using the alternative version of binkw32.dll, it does not occur.

Another log file. Even this time, the opening FMA playback was choppy.

I had tried that but nothing both with Soul Reaver 2 and Defiance. In Soul Reaver 2, opening FMA still plays slow or choppy. In Defiance same case including frame rate often around to 40 fps. In this latter, even going to enabe also VSync through DxWnd + Kill D3D vSync flag (Under the Timing tab) still often reports 40 fps with very rare cases where reaches 59/60 FPS.
