Sorry - screen shot didn't make it

Ok, found the culprit. I removed all plugins, and KeePass worked properly. I then started adding each plugin and restarted KeePass after each addition. All was fine until I added that last plugin - KeePassRPC. After starting KeePass I'm back to the annoying shutdown. I found that this only happens if I have the software check for updates automatically. By disabling this feature KeePass starts normally. I was able to open KeePass without a database. Good idea! I will pull all of the plugins and see what happens. It is starting to look like a plugin may be creating the problem. I'll report back later, one of the dogs has a vet appointment, lol! Thanks!

@wellread1 - Thanks for the reply! I've tried everything that you have suggested and 2.56 does not want to continue to run. It is set to lock, not exit. When executing the KeePass APP all runs normal, bring up the login dialog for the last used database/enter the database passphrase, after all of that the active database main screen appears showing the categories, etc. momentarily. Then, there is a brief flash of possibly another window appearing or something (it's so fast that I can't really identify...

Ok, I downgraded to KeePass 2.55 on the Win 11 system, and there are no issues. Everything is working fine. So, all indications are that there is an issue with version 2.56. I will point out that I had upgraded to 2.56 when it was first released and have had no problems up until today. I always try to keep all my software up to date.

I should mention that I'm using KeePass version 2.56 on Windows 11. And the best thing is that I'm also able to open the database without issues on my Linux Mint system using KeePass 2.55.

No, but thanks, Bruce. Everything was working fine up until this morning. Luckly I was able to open the Database with KeePassXC or I would not have been able to login to Source Forge.

After starting KeePass and entering the DB passphrase the database will open and then KeePass will close. I tried opening the last three database backups with the same results, database will open, and the KeePass will close. I can't find anything in the config file that would cause any conflicts, and I downloaded the portable version and tried open the database with the same results. Thanks
