Hi, I have a question: would it be possible to add some metadata at the bottom of the image, such as the telescope, camera, number of stacked images, total exposure time, and date? This would be very helpful for managing and organizing the images. Best regards Klemens
I have developed a web-based tool that allows exporting supernova data both in deep_sky.csv and variable_stars_15.csv formats. For the deep_sky.csv export, an existing catalogue can be uploaded and merged with the supernova entries; duplicate entries are automatically ignored. In addition, the tool can generate a supernova catalogue suitable for use with PixInsight. I hope this may be of interest to others. Here is the link for the web site.: https://www.waldhor.com/astronomie/supernova/sntocsv_...
Thanks! Fast reaction!
Comment: I know that it is currently possible to add objects manually to deep_sky.csv, as I have done here. However, this requires manual effort and is not very convenient for frequently updated object lists 🙂
It would be very helpful if ASTAP supported the import of user-defined custom catalogues. I frequently create supernova images, and being able to load an external supernova list (e.g. from https://www.rochesterastronomy.org/supernova.html ) as a catalogue would greatly improve object identification and annotation workflows. Ideally, the feature would allow loading simple text/CSV catalogues with RA/Dec and object names, similar to catalogue support in other astrometry tools. Best Klemens
Thanks!
How can I remove the comet annotations from the image? Once they are in I see now way to remove them. They are part of the FITS Header. And whenever I open the fits file they are displayed. best Klemens
Works now! Thanks!
