By the way I'm using the UEFI method. Tried holding down the key yesterday without letting go and it still won't show the UEFI boot in the menu. Oh well, if I have to boot back into Mac first then no biggie. I don't switch that often. Thanks for all of your help!

No I didn't. Maybe I need to hold down the OPTION key on the Mac keyboard rather than keep hitting it? I knolw the USB drive showed up recently when I tried that.

I was able to install Windows 11 on the bootable USB Drive. However, for me to boot there, I have to go to the Mac OS-X and use Target Disk. The USb install of Windows won't appear in the BOOT menu. The only one that shows is the OS-X and Win install on the internal drive. Any suggestions?

I’m using a Mac Mini 2018. What is happening is it begins what appears to be installation (black screen with white letters) then goes to reboot and begins running the wrong Windows - the one that is installed on the internal Mac drive. Using a 2018 Mac Mini. When I go to run the EFI icon upon booting, it appears to start installing (black background with white letters), then restarts and boots into my Windows which is on the internal drive. It never completes the setup on the USB drive.
