just wanted to follow up. the monitored status screen do show up on my dashboard and your solution does work just fine.
Again, thanks for the helpful dialog. I'm at work, so can't do much right now. As I recollect this information did not show on my dashboard following your steps. It only shows on this system status page. This status screen DOES show what's open an closed. I just wish there was a simplified screen on the dashboard.
Thanks for your reply! I'm afraid that does not show 'port status' at least as my configuration would show. I think this might be a good extension project. I don't use virtualmin. I followed the steps you listed, but found no option to add ports to monitor. I added SSH (port 22) to be monitored, but I'm not sure this is quite what I was looking for. For me, Webmin is fantastic! I think this is the only puzzle piece missing for me. I'd love to see it as an optional panel over on the right, along with...
Wish I could. My old server recently crashed so I had to reinstall everything! It was actually a good time to set up and do everything thru webmin, as much as possible. Take a look at the 'ezservermonitor' github page (https://github.com/shevabam/ezservermonitor-web). At the bottom is a picture. At the bottom right of that picture is an example of ports shown and their respective statuses. Mark W. I hope this is the right place to post! I am using Webmin as my headless server's startup page due to all the 'dashboard' info it provides. Since Webmin is password protected and even two-factor authenticated if desired, I don't see any reason not to use it this way. One thing I miss seeing from my old server info page was a listing with the server's ip address and a showing of up to 10 or 15 ports the user could pre-define to show open/closed status on the dashboard or perhaps on the right hand...
Needing some help with the configuration of the Webmin PPTP VPN Client. I have a newly setup server with a fresh install of Debian 9. Ihave attempted several configurations to get the PPTP VPN Client to successfully "setup" and "connect" through Webmin with no luck at all. I am able to connect to the VPN server using NetworkManager so I know the connection specs, username, password &server address I am inputing is valid & correct. Currently, I have my server connecting to the VPN server via NetworkManager,...
