Never mind.
Hello Matt, I'm using a new wireless headset with spatial sound enabled (Dolby Atmos) but one thing is bothering me: Stereo content like music is completely unaffected by this. I notice the change of sound when using HeSuVi with the "none" preset and enabling stereo upmixing, because more channels are used and spatial sound is triggered. What I simply need is a way of adding additional silent channels to the stereo signal so that spatial sound is also applied to stereo content. I know this can be...
The best you can currently do seems to have a keyboard shortcut to switch profiles. You can assign what type of settings you want to store in each profile and what device it should be assigned to. Only certain shortcuts are available due to Windows restrictions. I guess instead of pressing a rather complex shortcut I could also just open the program and select another HRIR. Loading profiles automatically based on the current default sound device would really change things. Everytime I connect my...
I would be nice if one could assign a specific profile to each sound device. I switch frequently between speakers (Dolby Virtual Speaker) and Headphones (Dolby Atmos) and currently I always have to open HeSuVi to switch the profile accordingly.
That file sounds fine now! Thanks!
That file sounds fine now! Thanks! I guess it just has to do with DVS in general that rear location queues are a bit difficult to make out. The Dolby Atmos preset with headphones is absolutely perfect in terms of knowing exactly where an enemy is behind you in a game, but with DVS it's not always clear to me where a sound comes from. I guess it's more suited for movies where it's not that important.
I have recorded and analyzed a stereo white noise sample. You can clearly see the frequency drop-off in the DVS picture, bass below 150 Hz is cut off.
