Thanks. I worked with the filters and got it working. It took a while because every time I 'unselected' two of the filters I didn't need, they kept reappearing. I thought it was really odd that there wasn't a Save or OK button & the only way to get off the screen was to hit the X in the upper corner. Since it was acting like it wasn't being saved I thought maybe there were some buttons on the bottom I couldn't see. That was part of the problem. For some reason that particular screen was too tall...

I'm a new user (Win10 version) & so far I really like fre:ac, it is very intuitive. I have been having problems with some of the options I've chosen not being implemented. With past CD rippers I've lowered many quality settings to save space on audiobooks since little quality is needed just to hear a person speaking. I change mp3 VBR bitrate from 32-64, change channel from stereo to mono, sample format to 16 , output sampling rate to 22050. After burning some audiobook chapters the bitrate is fine,...
