I already quick formatted the ssd, but i don't think it's completely clean. quick format doesn't make it brand new. I just checked my laptop's hard drive status using command prompt diskpart. there is no * under gpt column, so it's mbr. I ran diskpart while the ssd was plugged in using usb enclosure. that disk also doesns't have * under it, so it's also mbr.

Jeremy, I did use amd64 with the same error I don't see disk to disk cloning, the option that I picked was something like "device device" it was the second choice, the first choice was "device image" I don't know what the ssd had installed before, I bought it used

hello Jeremy, the SSD is bigger than the laptop hard drive the SSD is inside an enclosure and connected to the laptop via a USB cord source is connected because it's inside the laptop, target is connected via USB cord yes, what you said about the error sounds right I tried googling the image does NOT exist error in quotation marks, and it looks like only me and one other person have had this problem in the history of clonezilla, very strange

Hello my windows 7 laptop hard drive has been making a noise for about 3 months and I have been ignoring it. Yesterday, my laptop froze twice, making me nervous. Trying to clone it to the ssd that I bought 3 months ago. I am a noob at clonezilla but good at following instructions. This is what I tried: went to clonezilla and downloaded ISO i686 burned it to cd using ifrarecorder ran the cd, chose the first option (I think it's like VGA 800x600) disc to disc warning all will be erased? y let me ask...
