Thank you Jonas and Juha for your thoughts and suggestions (I'm late to the discussion - I was out of town for the past days). There are no crushes anymore indeed! Apparently the bug is fixed, so for the moment I can work without a script. Initially I thought a script could automate the process, e.g. read the Youtube Relative Loudness value and apply an appropriate gain setting. However, after some preliminary reading I think I must stop listening to Youtube altogether to protect my ears' objectivity,...
Thanks for the idea, Juha. VoiceMeeter has slider controls that can amplify over 0db, but a way to still amplify is very welcome. Wouldn't I need several scripts for .e.g. +2, +4, +6, +8 etc dB? Turning the knob on APO is so intutitive and handy. The issues of amplification reminded me of an off topic issue and probably a new APO feature request: I have not reached conclusions on the proper way to detect clipping in the audio chain... (which brings me fond memories from decades back and the endless...

Dear jthedering, I want to thank you from my heart for all the work you keep doing perfecting E-APO and squashing the bugs. TBH, I have not logged into SourceForge for ages, perhaps the time has come for me to socialize again. I wanted to ask if there is somewhere hidden an option to be able to change the PreAmp level while inactive (currently it is grayed out when inactive). The need has arisen from the following usage scenario: When I open a youtube video (HTML5), and in its stats I see that the...
