I was not aware of this change. I have now enabled the extension and the PDF preview is working again. May I suggest two things: 1. Including these kind of changes in the changelog. 2. To display an information message saying the required extension is not activated/available instead of showing the SeedDMS homepage in the area where the PDF Preview usually is displayed.

I am having a similar issue running SeedDMS on a Synology DS-118 with DSM 7, PHP 7.4 and MariaDB10. Version 6.0.15 of SeedDMS is running fine, including the fulltext index using SQLiteFTS; the index also includes numbers. Ever since 6.0.16 the fulltext indexing using SQLiteFTS stopped working and I am seeing the same errors as you Peter. I never managed to get Zend Lucene up and running on my Synology. Today I tried SeedDMS 6.0.17 and I still have the same errors when updating the fulltext index:...

Hi, I've recently installed SeedDMS 5.1.12 on a Synology Disk Station. So far, everything seems to work fine, except SeedDMS is not able to check for updates. If I go to "Version Information" through the Admin-Tools, the page shows a warning/error message saying "Checking for a new version of SeedDMS has failed! This could be caused by allow_url_fopen being set to 0 in your php configuration.". I have checked my PHP configuration and allow_url_fopen is set to 1. My Synology is connected to the internet...
