Yes, and that works fine. I got it to finish last night but it did another CRC error on a different location. I cannot figure out what causes this.. I delete the temp files run a status and this time it went to 77% i increased the amount between save states so it didn't have to constantly write and verify the content files, and it finished.
Anyone know why a scrub always fail with a content CRC error at 64% done according to status? I delete the temp files, and try again from where it failed, but CRC happens on different drive then 10% into scrub, and status still says only 64% scrub is done.. All drives are tip top no errors which is why this is baffling to me. Any idea why the heck this has begun to happen all of a sudden?
Question. My sync runs at 1600MB/s but the fix runs at max 130MB/s is this normal?
I see now, you are one of those people!!!! My problem is fixed so i am outta here. Good luck everyone..
Easier to just amend the conf file with a # and add 1 drive at a time to SR scrub.. And yes i understood perfectly, but what you are doing is needlessly complicated opening that many windows.. And you get no log file with an error code, and easier to monitor a single application than 20 in resource monitor. At no point was i "insulting" i just didnt see the point of your "method", still don't for that matter.. And i am done "debating" with you about anything.. Good luck Runewa.

@Runewa Depending on what TYPE of PSU you have, you can still very much get this error.. If your PSU's are bronze rated only or not rated at all, it means they do NOT deliver anything near the rated wattage.. You have to look at how many amps they can deliver on the 12v line. Which means google digging if they are really old.. A PSU is not just a PSU. For example, my new PSU has 70 amps on the +12v, my old 650w cooler master had 55 or thereabouts, its a HUGE difference, and at gold rated means they...

Also, there is no need to do what David tries to get you to do, it does NOTHING a scrub wouldn't do, and what you get is non-result, a "failure" on...

@Runewa Seems like a larger PSU has indeed fixed my problem.. I borrowed a seasonic Focus GX 850w and my SR is now running perfectly, it is even running faster than before.. I reach scrub speeds of 2100MB/s stable with cpu use at 90%, so i will mark this one as solved.. Good luck Runewa
David, why are you here? You clearly have no comprehension about this problem whatsoever.. You have NO idea where i got the parts from, or anything else. If you got nothing constructive to add to the conversation, why do you even bother answering? Also, i STILL do not see what your "method" will accomplish that the scrub doesnt do also, you have still to explain how to interpret the "results" of your "testing".. Or where to see any result of what happens via logs or anything else.. What you are doing...

Thank you for answering. My guess is it would probably work fine with half the drives.. But this isn't a solution.. I am however not 100% sure it is psu limitations, but seing as i have replaced or changed everything else, this is the only culprit left.. However i am not keen on splurging what amounts to a sizeable sum to "test out my theory" so i have stopped using snapraid for the time being, as i also use hd sentinel, so i would get a warning if a drive is showing signs of failure, of course this...
Is there anyone else who can help or have an idea why my scrub keeps failing?
Yeah, and? I dont see the purpose of this.. What is the result? How will i know the PSU is under powered by doing this? What will an error look like if it fails on drive 7 or 15 or whatever? Will the cmd promt close, or will there be a device manager error or what?
OK, and what will that show me? How do i know it is an under powered PSU? Like i mentioned, the day to day operation of the box work flawless. Only when everything is spun up do i get the error, sometimes it is drive H, I, sometimes drive O or P. None of the drives are on same SFF cable, and on different HBAs, it makes no sense, and the last thing i haven't replaced is the PSU. The newegg PSU calculator recommends a 700w minimum, well 699w so mine being 650w might be the cause, but i am uncertain...
The errors materialize whenever SR cannot get access to a drive, but the drives that makes SR throw the error is random, or in an order i dont see a pattern to. I think it is related to the order the drives are accessed by SR during initial access to the drives as per the config file. I had no problems running 4TB drives, but as i have upgraded to 8TB the error is more and more frequent.. I have bought new SSF cables, didnt work, i have tried replacing the drive enclosures, didnt work, i have replaced...

Delete me. Double post
Can anyone tell me if an under powered psu can cause snapraid to getting random fatal windows error 21 on different drives? It always happens when scrub is initiated and all drives are started. However, i tried deleting all parity and content files and start fresh, and snapraid seemed to be working as it should, then when it begins to scrub, it goes for 2 minutes then fatal error on a different drive. I have extended my array over the year to now cover 14x8TB and 4x4TB WD Reds, Seagate Exos and Iron...

Hey guys When i run a new scrub, after snapraid saving state under hardlinks and symlinks it says "2080 empty dirs" what exactly does that mean?
