I so appreciate you taking the time to answer with as much detail as you have, especially given this is not a trigger set you're currently using. And I totally respect the limits you're setting on how much you are willing to get into the weeds of all this. I agree that it is a very complex syncing scheme, and am definitely debating if it is the way forward for me or not. I was noticing in the documentation that if using both Tag and Group only entries that are in the selected Group and Tagged (presumably in the Master DB) will be synchronized. I was wondering if it is possible to modify that behavior such that an entry in the Master DB is synced if it is in one or more selected Groups OR has one or more selected Tags (ie, so that I could use both, but a given entry only needs one of those conditions to qualify for sync)? I did finally realize (from looking through the config) that various window size, position data is saved to the config (understandably), and since that info is different for each of my machines I think I'll just run the portable installs local on each machine. But this is still easier for copying config changes, version upgrades. I have a use-case where multiple computers all need the same KeePass Plugins, Triggers, application settings, etc., though each computer will be using it's own database (so no chance of the same database file being opened on multiple machines at the same time). Are there any risks involved in my setting up a Portable Installation on something like Microsoft OneDrive and multiple computers running KeePass from this portable install simultaneously?
