Thanks Martin for your work lately! Ghost races and advanced collisions are both feature I wanted to implement and done some preparatory fix but never got skill and time to complete them. Great!

@marsh84 I had a look at the velocity of the driven real wheels and it looks like the physics engine already leads to a "differential-like behavior". The wheel that receives more negative friction runs slower than the other wheel. As far as I undertstand, a similar effect is achieved by a differential in a real vehicle. The problem is, that just a slight tap on the steering makes car go in circles, because the outer wheel accumulates speed much faster than the inner one. Basically, what happens it's...

This is also weird... Trigger rally for what I had observed make the wheel slip (not going at the same speed of the ground) a lot more than in reality, but somehow the big picture simulation feels ok. Maybe that's because we have actually no clutch or differential too.

@onsemeliot Yes, I worked on that stuff when I improved the physic engine. I faced the same problem, the values for atmospheric effects are hard to guess and configure all of them at once is a pain. Unfortunately I had no time (hopefully in the future?) to finish all of this work. Similar situation for the rear driving wheel Fox car, where fix are required to the physic engine but is not so easy to understand where and what. About the atmospheric effects, I documented my work pretty extensively in...

Thanks Kirada for your patch Can I ask if there was some issue in particular with the automatic transimission, so that you would prefer using manual transmission?

Thanks for your feedback - If with latest commit you still feel that the drifting experience is impacted tell me
