Without digging in too deep and not having a whole lot of knowledge of how JAGS runs under the hood, I would suspect you need to set your initial values. It looks like you are relying on rjags or JAGS to pick initial values for you, but you define ypred[1] in the model. I would bet JAGS is trying to give initial values to each element in ypred including ypred[1]. In this case the initial value and the value that is defined in the model may not align. Hi there, I am trying to fit a model and keep running into this error: Error in node da[2,3] Current value is inconsistent with data. Note that da is an intercept on a linear predictor in my observation model (see below). I can sometimes get a model to run without an error on a very short run, but any time I bump up the number of iterations it I get this error.
