Hi Emanuel, Thanks! Yes. Copying the file to ~/Documents works. By manually adding the SH3D app to "Full Disk Access" it now works. But why can't the application detect the problem and request Full Disk Access or create entry in Privacy settings and tell you to go there and allow Full Disk Access /or/ show error message /or/ at least gracefully die?

Also Intel Mac here. Created new file from Demo. Saved it. Closed SH3d app. Opened SH3D app. Menu "File" Open - chose the file. This works fine.

You can open it: OK, that gives hope! :) Yes I used File Open menu item (for all my tests). I did not refuse disk access. And now went into System preferences and did not find ANY entry about Sweet Home 3D. FYI: I did not yet upgrade to MacOS 13, but still use v12.6.
