What? I can and do use Firefox with NoScript and Veracrypt via Crouton, all the time. With enough storage (and Google support, not all models can Android/Crouton/vm-chroot), a chromebook can run VMs, windoze included, Android, and Linux both as chroot and native. Locked in? LOL
