What are nowadays the differences between NetRexx and IBM-Compiled Rexx ?

Whenever PP, the program Porint Machine, shall be ready, the Rey Compiler, shall be as well. Rey is an abbreviation for 'Rexx to Java' ... Rey is an extension of both the 'classic Rexx' and NetRexx languages as well (see www.RexxLa.org and www.NetRexx.org) to implement some ancient Fourth Generation Languages (formerly called 4GL-Languages) in both 'classic Rexx' as well as 'NetRexx'. Translating Computer Languages has been always a TEDIOUS Task. Nowadays, it might become a bit easier. ReyC, the Rey Compiler, and PP, the Program Porting Machine, have been developped, to make Your task easier to switch between different Computer Languages. Both are not perfect, nor complete, nowadays, as of 15.05.2020. But I think, when making all of my work the past 20 Years 'OPEN SOURCE', the missing gaps might be closed by End of the Corona-Infection (thus: The End of 2020) with some help.

I would recommend using jEdit (from www.Jedit.org). It does NetRexx Syntax Coloring etc with Kermit Kisers add-in NetRexxDE. Very well done, and nowadays quick enough for day-to-day use. Kindly, Thomas.Schneider@thsitc.com
