Yeah, I tried something like that but sadly didn't have luck with this one either: I still get audible left, center and right. By the way, is it possible to use fractions instead of decimals? Like I think I'm supposed to mix MID, SIDE1 and SIDE2 for both L and R, but 0.3 isn't exactly 1/3. This seemed so simple in my head but I'm stumped trying to wrap my head around these formulas lol

Thanks, it's certainly a step in the right direction but I'm still missing something. Only when I make the last line a subtraction, the audio hard-panned to the right is removed. Copy: MID=L+R Copy: SIDE=R+-1.0*L Copy: L=0.5*MID+-0.5*SIDE Copy: R=0.5*MID+-0.5*SIDE Testing with a sine tone generated in Audacity playing on a loop and moving the panning slider, I noticed center-panned sounds are audible, which I want, but audio hard-panned to the left is still audible, which I don't want. If I swap...

In Audacity, if I load a stereo track, Split Stereo to Mono, then select either left or right channel and Effect > Special > Invert, I get the isolated center (only the part of the signal that's identical on both channels is audible). Is it possible to do this via EQAPO config? I'm trying to get a cleaner LFE-like signal for my DualSense (PlayStation 5 controller) which when connected via USB on Windows, presents itself as a "Quadraphonic" audio device, where the first 2 channels are for regular...

Another update. Still fails with the same error if I fresh reinstall Python and skip either: pip install sofar pip install pyfar or pip install -e .

One of the tweaks I applied was removing channels 8-14 so that HeSuVi reuses the left (front, side and rear) virtual speakers for the right ones by swapping the left and right channels, which results in a cleaner sound (especially when using upmix), plus for some reason when it had all 14 channels, everything was coming out of the front left virtual speaker, but I just figured out I had to swap the left and right channels for each right-hand virtual speaker. As for the LFE, AFAIK HeSuVi uses the...

Hmm yeah there was some funky channel ordering but I was still able to put this together. Positioning is horrendous for me (which tbh is to be expected from a generic HRTF) but it doesn't color music noticeably. I also applied these tweaks to improve upmix which imo sounds better than stereo virtualization for music.
